Here is an opportunity we don't see often. We almost never have older dogs available for adoption. Charlie's parents are our AKC "Pearly Girl" and our AKC "Louis the Great", he is seven months old and he was born on 1/20/2026. Louie (the sire) is from Europe and has 42 champions in his pedigree. Charlie was sold at 8-weeks, but due to his elderly owner's health he needs to find a new forever home.
Charlie has had all his shots (including rabies), He has graduated from a 5 week training program (Hand & Paw Academy), he is housebroken, he is registered with AKC and in perfect health. Charlie currently lives in Oregon, but will be available for pickup at our home here in Vancouver, WA. According to the owner his asking price is less than all the money she has invested into him.
What’s the difference... between an inexpensive puppy and a "Quality Bred" puppy?
1. Bloodline: "Quality Bred" puppies are from champion bloodlines. Puppies raised with champion backgrounds retain the physical features that define the breed. People will stop you on the street to comment on the appearance of a "Quality Bred" dog.
2. Health: "Quality Bred" puppies have DNA tested parents, who have been tested for genetic gene defects. This lowers the possibility of expensive veterinary bills and future illnesses as the puppy ages.
3. Personality: "Quality Bred" puppies, who have been handled daily from birth, are impacted by the process called imprinting. They believe they are little humans, or that you are a big dog, I’m never sure which. The end result is a loving puppy who wants to be constantly with you, follows you everywhere, and considers you their go-to person.
4. Expense: The initial expense of a "Quality Bred" puppy is reduced based on life expectancy. Dogs without expensive cosmetic or genetic defects tend to live longer and require fewer veterinary bills.
5. Exclusivity: People who purchase “Quality Bred” puppies are the same people who always look for, and only purchase, the very best.
We often get requests for older dogs as many people don't want to go through those early puppy learning phases. Charlie has been there, done that and is now the perfect turnkey companion pet.
